Abivet and European Projects

Our course for veterinary technicians has been the only Italian course to partecipate in the quality certification of European standards. At the end of March 2007, it was accredited by a European commission and it obtained that certification.

DASVENT

(2005 – 2007)
Development of an accreditation system for Veterinary Technicians similar to the American one. With the support of Vetnnet (Veterinary European Transnational Network for Nursing Education and Training)Fecava (Federation of European Companion Animal Veterinary Association) and the Institute RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons)

PEPAS

(2008 – 2010)
(Pan European Assessment System for Veterinary Nurses) for standardisation and confirmation of exams in all the Acovene accredited countries.

VECTAR

(2011 – 2013)
(Veterinary European Clinical Training and Assessment Record – Leonardo da Vinci Project) presented at Royal Collage of Veterinary Surgeons of London.

PBL

(2014 – 2016 / in progress) 
(Adopting of problems-based learning methodologies into veterinary nurses professional training). The aim of this european project is the adoption of a problem-based learning technique for the training of Veterinary Technicians. PBL is a process that allows students to learn through case studies and e-learning platforms.
