Veterinary technicians who obtain competence certification from a professional training course accredited by the programme ACOVENE have achieved a minimum standard of knowledge and skills that offer the opportunity to work in many Member States. This programme is validated by experts and continuously monitored as well as recognised and approved by FECAVA (Federation of Veterinary Associations of Companion Animals). The profession of veterinary technician is regulated in an increasing number of European countries.
